My Favorite Links!

Along the way, I have used several web sites to compile what I know of my family tree.  The follow are excellent resources.  I have used a lot of the information included in these websites, and therefore, believe that they deserve credit.

General Family Tree Information

Cyndi's List- More than 87,950 links!  79,250 links, categorized & cross-referenced, in over 140 categories.  Another 8,650+ uncategorized new links in the works.

GENDEX- This server indexes hundreds of World Wide Web databases containing genealogical data for over twelve million individuals, and gives you the ability to locate and view data of interest to you on any of these databases, without having to go and visit each of the databases separately.

SierraHome Family Tree- Social Security Death Index - The Social Security Death Index (SSDI) is file of individuals that the U.S. Social Security Administration reports as deceased (of course, most of the entries are Americans). It contains over 50 million entries, and can be a good starting point for further genealogy research.

WorldConnect Project- A HUGE family tree database of over 56.9 million names from all over the world.

Maine, United States

Maine Genealogy and History- Part of the US GenWeb Project.  Includes a lot of Maine links.

Maine State Archives- Marriage Search Form - This site has Maine marriage records from 1892 until 1996.

Maine State Archives- Death History Search Form - This site has Maine death records from 1960 until 1996.

Nova Scotia, Canada

The Boutilier Family of Nova Scotia: Descendants of Jean George Boutilier- A list of Boutilier Descendants primarily in Nova Scotia.  You can download the list in ASCII format.

"DOWN EAST" A Maritime Heritage- This site has a lot of information on families in the Nova Scotia area.

The Ancestors of Christopher Foisy through Judith-Anne Hagman- This site has a lot of history on various families in Nova Scotia including the Boutilier Family.

Lunenburg First Families - A list of families that were present at the founding of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia in 1753 and the two decades following.

Marjorie's Place - Researching Genealogy on Veinotte/Veinot

Willard Family History

Willard-Hosmer- A personal site that details the Willard Family beginning with Richard Willard about Sep. 1558, Benchley, Kent, England.

Wheeler Home Page & Genealogy- This genealogical database contains over 60,000 names including the Willard family.
